Tax and GST services in India
GST registration, GST returns and income tax return filing, explained clearly, with a qualified professional doing the filings that need one.
What we help with
- GST registration and returns, for businesses that need to register or must file regularly.
- Income tax return filing, for individuals, professionals, firms, LLPs and companies.
Two taxes, two systems
GST is an indirect tax on the supply of goods and services. It is registered and filed through the GST portal. Income tax is charged on income and is filed on the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal. A business often deals with both, and the deadlines are separate.
GST at a glance
Registration is generally required once aggregate turnover crosses a threshold. In most states that is ₹40 lakh for suppliers of goods and ₹20 lakh for service providers, with lower limits in some special category states. Some businesses must register whatever their turnover. Registered businesses then file periodic returns. The GST page explains each point.
Income tax at a glance
Income earned in FY 2025-26 is reported on a return for AY 2026-27 under the Income-tax Act, 1961. The Income-tax Act, 2025 applies to income from 1 April 2026, called Tax Year 2026-27, with the first returns under it due in 2027. The return filing page explains the forms and what you need.
Who signs what
Many returns can be prepared and filed by the taxpayer or a tax return preparer. Some filings, such as a tax audit report, must be signed by a chartered accountant. Where a chartered accountant must sign, one does. EasyCorp coordinates the work and tells you who is responsible for each part before you start.
What you pay
Filing on the government portals does not itself carry a fee, but late fees and interest can apply if you miss a date. Professional fees depend on how many returns you file, the volume of transactions and how tidy your records are. We quote after we understand your case.
